“The seawall is the foundation that holds, weathered and beaten by time, cracks over the surface, rusted wired forms of support beneath the concrete, painted with graffiti. Across from the long wall the ocean races, the fog comes in, the salt air scars. Walkers pause to look, and feel salty air and listen. The palette for the erosion is created by time’s hand, something for everyone to see, maybe, or walk past to get to the ocean ,or the parking lot, or to look to see the horizon, and the sky.”
